What to Expect in Trucking School
When you attend trucking school at Stevens Transport Driving Academy, you attend class Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, as well as on Saturday from 7 am to noon. This training is provided by highly skilled driving instructors and mentors who are trained in behind the wheel skills. In addition, the Stevens Transport Driving Academy boasts one of the smallest student to driver ratios at 1 to 4. While you are in training, most of your expenses will be covered by Stevens Transport. This includes housing, meals, and transportation both to Dallas and to the school each day from your accommodations.
After Trucking School Graduation
Once you complete truck driver training at the Stevens Transport Driving Academy, you will be fully prepared to pass the CDL exam in Texas or whatever home state you live in when you attend training. After you have your Class A CDL, you are ready to become a full-time truck driver for Stevens Transport. The truck driving company will pay you up to $50,000 for your first year as a truck driver. By your third year as a trucker, you should be making up to $70,000 at Stevens Transport.
